Although contemporary metaethics has flourished in recent years, it seems that ancient Greek metaethics has been neglected. This workshop is designed to bring together philosophers working on contemporary metaethics and ancient philosophers working in ancient value theory.

About the event

The basic idea behind the workshop is this: although contemporary metaethics has flourished in recent years, it seems to us that ancient Greek metaethics has been badly neglected. The idea is to bring together four philosophers working on contemporary metaethics and four ancient philosophers working in ancient value theory in the hopes that we can start some cross-subdiscipline discussions going and promote future research.
